If your clients are asking for MARC  records, and/or related services such as barcodes and labels, you’ve come to the right place. 

Marc4media® cataloging exceeds the requirements of the most discerning schools and colleges.  By providing multiple online access points to data about your motion media content, m4m records are also a marketing tool that generates increased usage and sales of your products.

When we become your agent,  we charge a set amount to catalog your products.  The records are immediately uploaded to the web and made available to all marc4media^® subscribers.  (Subscribers often search the master m4m database to see what's available for purchase in particular curriculum areas).  If your customers  are not subscribers to m4m web services, there is an additional charge for us to send copies of the records to them.  (These charges are usually associated with new sales of your products).

There is an additional charge to print labels and send them to your customers. We log each order sent on your behalf and invoice you at the end of each month for services rendered.  In many instances, we are asked to keep track not only of the school's label requirements but also of the last barcode used for a particular order. We also liase with school districts and automation companies to request barcode ranges for each school and each order from them. This documentation and phone support is part of the standard MARC services we provide for distributors (usually for K-12 education).

A very popular service, particularly for new school openings, is known as "Shelf-Ready Processing".   Distributors ship orders to us for all labels to be attached.  Then,  the order is shipped from our office to the school, with the data disc enclosed.  When the products arrive,  school staff unload  the data and shelve the items. There is no further work for them to do: the items are on the shelves and everyone knows they are available because online searches tell them so.
